Board Approves ATEP Organizational Changes

The Board of Trustees approved a reorganization of the Advanced Technology & Education Park (ATEP) at its meeting on Monday, September 27, 2010. The organizational changes will separate the day to day operations, student services and instruction at the initial ATEP campus from the overall development of the 68-acre site.

These changes were made to assist the district's two colleges, Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College, to focus on program development for the ATEP expansion while the South Orange County Community College District works on site development and facilities.

The current 1.5 acre ATEP campus will be managed by Dr. David Gatewood, Irvine Valley College Dean of Career Technical Education and Workforce Development. He will work on-site at the ATEP campus. He can be reached at 949.451.5650.

The development of the 68-acre site will be managed by Dr. Randy Peebles, ATEP Provost, and the South Orange County Community College District Chancellor's Office in Mission Viejo. He can be reached at 949.582.4344.
