Meet Joby
Joby is a student at ATEP currently taking Digital Photography. This is the second class Joby has taken at ATEP and he enjoys being a part of the new campus. He especially likes its smaller size and guaranteed parking. Our intern, Austin, caught up with Joby to ask him a few questions.
What do you like most about Digital Photography?
"It gets me outside and I get to be creative in my own way. This class also brings out the artistic side in me."
What are your inspirations when you are photographing?
"I really like shooting scenery, my favorite place to photograph is Laguna Beach. I derive a lot of artistic inspiration from Ansel Adams."
What are your future plans?
"I want to transfer to the University of Nevada, Reno this year. I want to major in Business and minor in Hotel Management so I can open up hotels in Vegas and Reno."
What do you do in your free time?
"I work at Disneyland. I am a ride operator for Star Tours and Honey, I Shrunk the Audience."

Meet Rachael
After a random sighting of Darth Maul last week on the ATEP campus, we learned that one of our students was behind his transformation for the Anime Expo in LA.
Meet Rachael, a new student in our Design Model Making & Prototyping (DMP) program.
Formerly on a traditional track at Cal State Fullerton in technical theater, she yearned to do something different and signed up for the DMP 200 class @ATEP. We caught up with her to ask a couple of questions.
What do you like about ATEP?
"I love the hands on part of the class, learning how to DO something rather than just being told how to do it." So far she has learned how to carve and vacuum foam and make molds for her own legos, dice, and a laser engraved keychain with her Ham call sign. She concepted, designed and made each prototype herself after just a few weeks.
She is also taking a graphic design class here and is signing up for more classes @ATEP next semester.
What are your plans?
"I think I want to stay in entertainment," she says, "but who knows...this class is showing me techniques that I can use in so many industries."
You can see some of Rachael's other transformations at tigerfrost.deviantart.com.
