Counseling Services
Counseling services provided at ATEP can help you clarify career and academic goals, assist with course selection and program planning, and give referrals to other college services or programs. Other services include providing information to transfer to universities and personal counseling related to your academic and career goals.
Counseling services are available by telephone at (949) 282-2708 or in-person at ATEP
(Building A) or via the "Ask a Counselor" form.
If you're exploring options for paying for college, see our Financial Aid page for helpful links and to find both Saddleback and IVC Financial Aid web sites. You'll learn about the various kinds of financial aid (loans, grants, and work-study), how to apply, common myths, and more.
My Academic Plan - MAP Your Future!
MAP is an exciting and unique program designed to guide you through the process of creating your own personal academic plan. Using MAP assumes that you have a clearly defined educational goal. If you are undecided, MAP will be limited to selecting possible options to determine what coursework would be required.
Access MAP via MYSITE.
Student Resource Center
Students can register, study, and/or do research in our Student Resource Center located in the Administration building. Dual boot Intel based iMAC computers allow students to use either the MAC OS X or Microsoft Vista operating system, along with Office 2007, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and the Adobe Design Premium CS4 suite. There is currently no charge for use of the student LaserJet printer.
Virtual Library - In keeping with ATEP's innovative approach to education, our library is entirely online. From our website students can access online Reference Desk books (dictionaries, encyclopedias, thesauri, and other statistical references), Online Databases for Research Journals and Electronic Publications (ProQuest, InfoTrac, NewsBank), and stacks of over 770+ eBooks. Students have access to traditional library services at the main District campuses: Saddleback, and Irvine Valley College. To access their online collection catalogs, use the Search SIRSI Catalog form.
Digital Cafe - Bring your laptop and enjoy a snack and a beverage from our Digital Cafe vending machines. There is also a Bookstore vending machine with scantrons, bluebooks, pencils and other school supplies.
Wireless Access Information
If you have a wireless-enabled computer, you can access the Internet from most locations on campus. See the information page for details
The ATEP staff will be available to assist students with basic student services such as registration, but students may need to visit their home campus of record at either Saddleback College or Irvine Valley College for assistance with more extensive services.
